Fees inside Bangladesh
The e-passport portal lists these domestic fees, including 15% VAT 1. The fee is set by page count, validity and delivery service 1.
What each delivery label means
The portal gives two descriptions for regular and express timing. Regular is within 15 working days or 21 days from biometric enrolment. Express is within 7 working days or 10 days. Super express is within 2 working days 1. Treat these as the official service targets, not a promise that every application will finish on that date.
Government employees with a valid no objection certificate or retirement document receive express service at the regular fee. They receive super express service at the express fee 1.
Age limits change the choices
Every applicant under 18 receives a 48-page passport valid for five years 2. That rule removes the 10-year and 64-page choices for a child. An adult can select from the four books shown in the domestic fee table, subject to the passport office accepting the application 1,2.
How to pay
The portal accepts online payment through A-Challan, DGePay and ShurjoPay. It lists cards, bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay and named banks among the payment options 1. An applicant can pay offline through A-Challan at a government or private bank 1. Keep the payment receipt for submission.
Pay only through a method shown by the official portal or the office handling the application. A payment request sent through an unrelated social account or personal number is not one of the listed methods 1.
Fees at Bangladesh missions
The central portal publishes mission base fees in US dollars. General applicants pay USD 100 to USD 225, based on book and service. The mission table has regular and express service, not super express 1. Labour and student rates for a 48-page book are USD 30 or USD 45 for five years and USD 50 or USD 75 for ten years 1. The portal gives no reduced labour or student rate for a 64-page book 1.
A mission may collect the fee in local currency and may publish its own collection instructions. Use that mission's current page before paying. The central USD table is a reference, not proof of the final local-currency amount 1.
The 64-page availability warning
The current fee page, updated 12 July 2026, prices 64-page books 1. A separate portal notice had announced a temporary halt to 64-page booklet delivery from 15 January 2023 3. The fee table is newer, yet a listed fee does not confirm stock at a given office. Ask the passport office whether 64-page delivery is available before selecting and paying for it 1,3.
