When the e-passport launched in January 2020, The Daily Star listed base fees before 15% VAT 2. A 48-page five-year passport was Tk 3,500 on general delivery 2. With VAT that is Tk 4,025, the same as the 2025 figure 1,2.

Which option to pick
The cheapest book is the 48-page five-year passport on regular delivery at Tk 4,025 1. Moving to ten years on the same 48-page book adds Tk 1,725 on regular delivery 1. Going from regular to express adds Tk 2,300 on every book 1. Going from express to super express adds Tk 2,300 on a 48-page book and Tk 3,450 on a 64-page book 1.
The 64-page book costs Tk 2,300 more than the 48-page book of the same validity on regular delivery 1.
