A Bangladesh passport is not on Saudi Arabia's current tourist e-visa nationality list 1. The official Saudi tourism rules say a national from outside that list can apply through a Saudi diplomatic mission or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs route 2. The Saudi Embassy's Bangladesh guide lists a tourist-visa cost of SAR 440 before VAT and processing fees, made up of SAR 300 for the visa and SAR 140 for health insurance 3. The payment is non-refundable 3.

Bangladesh is outside the tourist e-visa list

The official Visit Saudi portal names the nationalities that can use its tourist e-visa. Bangladesh is not in that list on 19 October 2026 1. The portal tells people whose country is absent to contact the nearest Saudi embassy 1.

The tourist-visa regulations provide a mission or Ministry of Foreign Affairs path for a passport from outside the online list 2. Do not pay a site that claims a Bangladesh passport qualifies for the standard Visit Saudi e-visa without checking the official list.

The published tourist visa cost

The Saudi Embassy's Bangladesh tourism guide gives SAR 440 before VAT and processing charges 3. It breaks that into a SAR 300 visa fee and SAR 140 health insurance. The guide warns that insurance can change with visa length and the applicant's health 3.

The same guide says the payment is not refunded after refusal 3. Treat SAR 440 as the published government and insurance base, not a promise of the final taka total charged by a submission channel.

Documents and stay

For the mission route, the Saudi rules ask for a return itinerary, accommodation booking, home address and employment evidence 2. The passport needs at least six months at entry, and approved Saudi medical insurance is required 2.

The Bangladesh embassy guide describes a single-entry visa expiring after three months with a stay up to one month. It describes a one-year multiple-entry visa with stays up to three months, subject to the Ministry's decision 3.

  • Return flight itinerary 2,3
  • Accommodation evidence 2,3
  • Employment proof and bank statement 3
  • Saudi-approved health insurance 2,3
  • Passport valid for six months at entry 2,3

Tourism, Umrah and Hajj are different

Saudi's e-visa terms permit tourism and Umrah, but exclude Hajj and work 1. A Hajj pilgrim must use the Hajj system and package route for that season. A worker needs the visa and contract route linked to the employer.

A tourist visa does not authorise employment. It should not be used to replace a work visa or a Hajj visa.

Costs beyond the visa

Budget for VAT or processing charges, airfare, accommodation, local transport and any package services. The embassy guide states that airlines check the visa before boarding 3.

The guide gives SAR 100 for each day of overstay 3. Check the dates printed on the issued visa, since visa validity and the permitted stay are two different limits.
