The visit application starts with a sponsor
Kuwait Government Online tells the sponsor to take the tourist-visit documents to the General Department of Immigration 1. The sponsor can be a Kuwaiti citizen, a qualifying non-Kuwaiti resident or an authorised hotel for the hotel route.
This is not a promise that every sponsor request will be approved. The immigration authority decides the entry visa.
The published visit fee
The official service page lists a fixed KD 10 charge for each month and no variable fee in the table 1. The family-visit service publishes the same KD 10 monthly figure 3.
A hotel, sponsor or submission provider can have other costs. Ask for a receipt that keeps those private charges separate from the government monthly fee.
Tourist and family documents
The tourist service requires the visit form and a passport copy with at least six months' validity 1. It lists the sponsor's Civil ID and recent salary certificate or private-sector work permit where the sponsor is a foreign resident.
The family route needs proof of kinship and does not accept an embassy oath certificate as that proof 3. The tourist page lists relationship evidence too, reflecting its sponsor-based filing process.
The work entry route is separate
For private-sector employment, the Kuwait sponsor needs a work permit from the Public Authority for Manpower before filing the entry visa 2. The employer supplies the signed application and sponsor declaration.
The work service lists a KD 10 fixed fee and requires a passport valid for at least two years 2. That government entry fee is not the full recruitment or migration cost.
Match every document
Kuwait's immigration instruction says a mismatch between entry-visa data and passport data makes the permit invalid and blocks entry 4. Check spelling, passport number, date of birth, sponsor and visa purpose.
Workers may need a police clearance certificate ratified through the Kuwait embassy or consulate under the official instruction 4. Complete that only through the named government and mission route.
